When employees reported to work Feb. 1, they said no one knew where owner and publisher Linda Fenoff was. Fenoff’s mother called the staff and told them to pack up and leave. Employees have experienced several problems trying to sign up for unemployment insurance; the New York State Department of Labor has no records for the paper for 2009.
