The papers were bought by News Publishing Co. in late 2010, and merged them to form the Trempealeau County Times, which published its first edition on Jan. 6, 2011. According to a Leader-Telegram story, “Not all the employees of the three weeklies found positions with the new paper.” Do you know how many people were laid off when the papers closed?
