The weekly paper has closed. “The economy is so, so bad, and the economy is not going to get better fast enough for us to continue,” sales and marketing director Robert Lott said. Lott’s wife Michele is the registered owner of Coronado Beach Publishing. He said he would like to resume publication, “but I don’t think it is possible.” The paper’s staff was laid off in August.
