Four employees were laid off, and salaries of the remaining employees were cut 5 percent companywide. A memo from Creative Loafing group publisher Alison Draper said the cuts were “a necessary action to put each of our properties on solid financial footing, allowing us to protect our organization against uncertainty — and therefore continue the important work we do.”
