Buyouts are being offered. In a letter to employees, Publisher Patrick Stickel said: “If a significant number of you accept the offer it could minimize or eliminate the need for layoffs down the line.”
At least 25 full-time and 6 part-time employees accepted or said they were planning to accept the buyout offer. Additional employees may have accepted the buyout offer before the Nov. 9 deadline.
